First, we’ll need to make sure your TickTalk 4 is backed up so you can easily transfer over your settings and data:
- Please turn your TickTalk 4 on and confirm you are connected to Wi-Fi.
- Log into your TickTalk app on your phone, select Parent Portal by clicking the gear icon in the bottom left hand corner, and select T-Cloud. Please wait for your TickTalk 4 to back up completely and give you the Success message. Once you have successfully backed up, turn your TickTalk 4 off.
- Next, put your SIM card in your TickTalk 5, turn your TickTalk 5 on, and confirm you are connected to Wi-Fi.
- Turn your TickTalk 4 back on and ensure it is connected to Wi-Fi.
- You’ll need to log back into your TickTalk app on your phone, select the head icon in the middle of the app, and select Add Another TickTalk. Go into your TickTalk 5 watch settings, select Settings, and Pair where you will see a QR code. Scan the QR code from your app and it will ask if you’d like to sync the back up from your last update and select Yes.
Next, you’ll need to remove your TickTalk 4 from your TickTalk app:
- Please tap the middle head icon located on the bottom of your screen. Select the device you want to remove.
- Next, from the main map interface, select the Parent Portal and select Contacts. On this screen, tap on App Users, and you should see red letters that says Unpair next to your name (the Admin User). Tap Unpair to remove your watch from your app account--doing this will also remove all secondary users from being connected to your old device. This will log you out of the app.
- Log back into your app account and your old device will be gone and will only have your new watch (TickTalk 5) there.
