This article applies to TickTalk 5 only.
TickTalk 5 is an unlocked GSM-compatible smartwatch and can be used with compatible GSM carriers and SIM cards worldwide.
TickTalk 6 uses a different connectivity system and does not support third-party physical SIM cards.
Can I Use My Own SIM Card with TickTalk 5?
Yes.
You may use the included TickTalk Wireless SIM card or your own compatible GSM SIM card and carrier.
When using your own carrier, you must select a standard cellular phone plan that includes:
- Talk
- Text
- Data
Which Plans Are Not Compatible?
The following plan types are not compatible with TickTalk 5:
- Smartwatch or wearable plans
- DIGITS plans
- Tracking device plans
- Tablet plans
- Data-only plans
If you are adding TickTalk 5 to an existing carrier account, be sure to activate a regular phone line rather than a wearable or smartwatch plan.
U.S. Customers
For customers in the United States, we recommend TickTalk Wireless, which operates on AT&T or T-Mobile networks and is designed specifically for TickTalk devices.
You may also choose to use your own compatible GSM carrier.
