Can TickTalk Call International Numbers?
Yes. TickTalk can communicate with international phone numbers when supported by your cellular service plan and carrier.
International Voice Calling
TickTalk can place and receive international voice calls if international dialing is supported by your wireless carrier.
International Calling Format
When saving an international phone number in the TickTalk App, you may use one of the following formats depending on your carrier:
Option 1: Standard Number Format
Save the phone number exactly as provided by your carrier, without a country code.
Option 2: International Country Code Format
Save the number using:
+ [Country Code] [Phone Number]
Examples:
- United Kingdom: +44XXXXXXXXXX
- China: +86XXXXXXXXXXX
- Australia: +61XXXXXXXXX
Important: If you use a country code, you must include the "+" symbol before the country code. Numbers entered without the "+" may not dial correctly depending on your carrier and location.
If you're unsure which format to use, please contact your cellular carrier for the recommended international dialing format.
International Messaging and FaceTalk
Family members and friends located anywhere in the world can communicate with your child through the TickTalk App.
Using the TickTalk App, approved contacts can:
- Send messages
- Share photos
- Send voice recordings
- Participate in group chats
- Use FaceTalk video calling
These features work over data and are often the easiest way to stay connected with family members who live internationally.
International Contacts
For security reasons, all contacts must be parent-approved before they can communicate with your child.
