What should I do if my watch gets too warm?
TickTalk 5 includes a built-in temperature protection system designed to help protect the watch from excessive heat.
If the watch becomes too warm, it may temporarily limit certain features such as calling, location updates, or video streaming until the temperature returns to a normal range.
Common Causes
A high-temperature warning may occur when:
· Using video calling for extended periods
· Making long phone calls
· Using the watch in areas with weak cellular signal
· Using the watch while charging
· Charging the watch in direct sunlight
· Leaving the watch in a hot vehicle
· Exposure to high outdoor temperatures or nearby heat sources
How to Cool Down the Watch
1. Remove the watch from your child's wrist.
2. Move the watch to a shaded, well-ventilated area.
3. Allow the watch to cool naturally.
4. Do not place the watch in a refrigerator, freezer, or on ice.
5. Avoid charging or using the watch until it has cooled down.
Normal functionality should return automatically once the watch reaches a safe operating temperature.
How to Prevent Overheating
To help prevent overheating:
· Avoid charging the watch in direct sunlight.
· Avoid using video calling while charging.
· Do not leave the watch inside a parked vehicle.
· Use the watch in a well-ventilated environment whenever possible.
