If your TickTalk 5 touchscreen is frozen, not responding, or will not swipe, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Step 1: Clean the Screen
Wipe the screen using a clean, dry microfiber cloth.
Dirt, moisture, or residue on the screen may affect touch responsiveness.
Step 2: Make Sure Your Fingers Are Dry
Wet fingers can sometimes interfere with touchscreen performance.
Dry your hands and try using the watch again.
Step 3: Check the Screen Protector
Remove any screen protector that is:
· Thick
· Damaged
· Cracked
· Misaligned
A damaged screen protector may prevent touch input from registering correctly.
Step 4: Check Any Protective Case
Make sure a case or protective cover is not overlapping or pressing against the touchscreen.
Step 5: Allow the Watch to Finish Starting Up
If the watch was recently powered on, wait 1–2 minutes for the operating system to fully load.
The touchscreen may be temporarily unresponsive during startup.
Step 6: Restart the Watch
1. Power off the watch.
2. Wait a few seconds.
3. Turn the watch back on.
4. Test the touchscreen again.
Step 7: Force Restart the Watch
If the screen remains frozen:
1. Press and hold the black side power button.
2. Continue holding for approximately 10 seconds.
3. Release the button once the watch restarts.
Step 8: Charge the Watch
If the issue continues:
1. Connect the watch to the charger.
2. Leave it charging for at least 30 minutes.
3. Restart the watch and test the touchscreen again.
Low battery levels can occasionally cause system responsiveness issues.
