Creating a TickTalk App Account
Before pairing your TickTalk watch, you must first create a TickTalk App account.
The TickTalk App is used to:
- Manage your child's watch
- View location information
- Send messages
- Make FaceTalk calls
- Manage contacts and permissions
- Receive notifications and alerts
Step 1: Download the TickTalk App
Download the TickTalk App from:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
Step 2: Create an Account
- Open the TickTalk App.
- Select Sign Up.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Depending on your country, you may be asked to register using:
- A phone number
- An email address
Step 3: Verify Your Account
To help protect user accounts and comply with child privacy and safety requirements, account verification is required.
Depending on your country, verification may be completed through:
- SMS verification
- Email verification
Step 4: Pair Your Watch
After creating your account, you can pair your TickTalk watch.
- Open the TickTalk App.
- Select Pair Watch.
- On the watch, go to:
Settings > Pair
- Scan the QR code displayed on the watch or manually enter the TTID number.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete pairing.
After pairing, the first user to successfully connect to the watch becomes the Administrator.
Important Notes
- A TickTalk App account is required before pairing a watch.
- The first user who pairs the watch becomes the Administrator.
- Only the Administrator can approve additional app users and manage user permissions.
- A TickTalk App account is different from a TickTalk Wireless account.
TickTalk App Account vs. TickTalk Wireless Account
These are two separate accounts.
TickTalk App Account
Used for:
- Messaging
- Calling
- Location tracking
- Managing watch settings
- Managing contacts
TickTalk Wireless Account
Used for:
- Activating a SIM card
- Managing wireless service
- Updating payment methods
- Managing subscriptions
You may use the same email address for both accounts, but they are managed separately.
