How Do I Update the TickTalk App?
Keeping the TickTalk App updated ensures you have access to the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes.
Before Updating
For the most reliable update experience, we recommend:
- Connecting your phone to Wi-Fi.
- Ensuring your phone has sufficient battery life.
- Using the latest version of iOS or Android supported by your device.
How to Check for App Updates
- Open the TickTalk App.
- Go to Parent Portal.
- Select My App.
- Tap Software Update.
You will see:
- Your current app version.
- Whether a newer version is available.
How to Update the TickTalk App
If an update is available:
- Tap Update to the Latest Version.
- You will be redirected to:
- Apple App Store (iPhone)
- Google Play Store (Android)
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Once the update is finished, reopen the TickTalk App.
Why Can't I Update the TickTalk App?
If the update is not downloading:
- Connect your phone to Wi-Fi.
- Verify you have enough storage space available.

There are two different types of updates:
TickTalk App Update
Updates the Parent App installed on your phone.

Parent Portal > My App > Software Update
TickTalk Watch (tOS) Update
Updates the software running on the watch itself.
Path:
Watch Settings > OS Update
These updates are managed separately and may become available at different times.
